Big Shawn has been grappling for over 20 years. He started his journey in middle school, quickly falling in love with the ability to pin his opponents to the mats. Reaching great heights throughout his high school wrestling career he made his way into the world of Division 1 Wrestling. After Several years of MMA Big Shawn made his way into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu full time wining blue belt adult gold at Worlds as well as bronze at adult purple belt Worlds. He is an active competitor in IBJJF and Fight to Win. Shawn Received his Black Belt under Mike Uhlinger and has never stopped trying to advance his game in the gentle art.

GI COACH AKA TALL SHAWN

Tall Shawn started grappling when he discovered the world of Judo. He was excited about the possibilities to be able to maneuver larger opponents than himself but soon realized he preferred to take the fight to the ground where he discovered the art of Jiu Jitsu. Since then Shawn has been on a Journey of discovery for over 12 years and in 2019 received his black belt from Mike Uhlinger and has been trying to become the best version of himself in the art of grappling.
